A single piece
Milled from one solid piece of high-strength Prettau® Zirconia. This monolithic design reduces potential weak points — and the risk of individual teeth breaking away.
No plate on your palate
Unlike a denture, there is no plate across the roof of your mouth. Your bridge is fixed securely to four to six implants per jaw and can only be removed by a dental professional.

Zirconia vs PMMA
Why the material matters
Two materials play a part in your treatment. PMMA — a medical-grade dental polymer — is used for your temporary and trial teeth. Prettau® Zirconia, a high-strength ceramic, is reserved for your final bridge. Each has a job to do.

PMMA is not poor quality. It is a softer material, easily adjusted and repaired, which makes it genuinely valuable while your final smile is still being developed. It simply is not designed to be your forever material.
The evidence
What clinical studies show
We choose Prettau® Zirconia because the published evidence supports it as the more durable material for final full-mouth implant teeth.
Zirconia vs metal-acrylic
In head-to-head comparisons, zirconia-based bridges showed 93.7% prosthetic survival at five years against 83.0% for metal-acrylic — and 88.0% against 67.6% at eight years. Ten-year evidence on PMMA-based bridges reported an average of 4.7 resin-related complications per bridge, most often fracture of the acrylic teeth.
“Is zirconia too hard?”
Some clinics say zirconia is too hard or too brittle. Clinical research does not show that zirconia bridges cause increased bone loss simply because the material is hard. In a six-year comparison, implant survival was 100% for both materials — while zirconia showed lower average bone loss (~1.4 mm vs ~2.1 mm), lower plaque levels and less gum inflammation.
Not all zirconia is the same
A named and traceable material
Many clinics offer “zirconia” — but the word alone tells you very little. Prettau® Zirconia is developed and manufactured by Zirkonzahn, within a system designed specifically for monolithic, complete-arch restorations.

We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach to smile design. Natural-looking teeth depend on translucency and depth, subtle shade variation, individual shape and surface texture, and the way light moves from gum line to biting edge.
